Smooth structural dowel for timber-to-timber and timber-to-steel shear connections. The tapered tip eases insertion into the prepared hole, and the cylindrical body transfers shear across the joint.
Ideal for concealed connections with internal steel or aluminium knife plates, including ALU and ALUMEGA brackets. When recessed and capped with timber plugs it meets fire safety requirements with a clean appearance.
- Smooth dowel for timber-to-timber and timber-to-steel shear joints
- Tapered tip for easy insertion into the prepared hole
- Ø12mm in S235 carbon steel, electrogalvanised
- Ideal with internal plates for concealed connections in large structures
- CE marked to EN 14592
- Service class SC2, atmospheric corrosivity C2
- Also produced on request as the STAS knurled version for seismic zones and in A2 stainless for outdoor use
