Self-drilling dowel for concealed timber-to-steel connections. The tapered self-perforating tip drills straight through the steel plate, removing the need for pre-drilling and speeding up installation even in hard-to-reach positions.
The 7.5mm diameter gives high shear strength and lets you optimise the number of fasteners, while the double thread near the tip and under the head draws the joint together precisely. The cylindrical head sinks below the timber surface for a clean finish and fire performance.
- Self-drilling tip perforates steel plates up to 10mm (S235, S275, S355)
- Also suitable for ALUMINI, ALUMIDI and ALUMAXI aluminium brackets
- Restores shear and moment in concealed centreline beam joints
- Ø7.5mm, drive TX40, bit included
- Material: electrogalvanised carbon steel
- CE marked to EN 14592
- Service class SC1 to SC2, atmospheric corrosivity C1 to C2
- Do not use pulse or impact drivers, reach the plate slowly to protect the tip
