VGS PLATE is a pan head hex screw with black E-Coating, engineered specifically for lifting and handling timber elements. The hexagonal SW17 head with TX50 drive works with all Rothoblaas lifting devices, including RAPTOR MINI, RAPTOR, RAPTOR MAXI, WASP and WASPL. Unlike traditional single-use lifting screws, VGS PLATE is designed for repeated use in transport and lifting operations, with performance validated by testing at the University of Maine and University of Bologna. Also certified for permanent metal-to-timber structural connections in buildings.
- Reusable for lifting and transport, subject to inspection with the JIG REUSE gauge before each reuse
- Black E-Coating and "LIFT" head marking make lifting screws easy to identify on site and prevent mixing with non-approved fixings
- Coating wear provides a visual indication of the number of reuse cycles
- Ø11 mm nominal, hexagonal SW17 head with TX50 drive for repeated install and removal
- Compatible with RAPTOR MINI, RAPTOR, RAPTOR MAXI, WASP and WASPL lifting devices
- Also certified for permanent metal-to-timber structural connections; reinforced underhead and no sharp edges for reliable load transfer, even with thick plates
- Material: electrogalvanised carbon steel with black E-Coating
- Characteristic tensile strength 38.0 kN, yield moment 45.9 Nm
- Service class: SC1, SC2. Atmospheric corrosivity: C1, C2. Wood corrosivity: T1, T2
- CE marked under ETA-11/0030; certified for lifting under Machinery Directive 2006/42/EC
- Recommended installation torque 30 Nm. Use a torque-controlled driver or torque wrench, impact wrenches are not permitted
- Bit included in the box. Sold per box of 25 screws
- For qualified personnel only. Follow the Rothoblaas manual and reuse criteria before every lifting operation
