ISULFIX90 · Additional washer for soft insulation
ISULFIX90 is a 90 mm washer that goes under the head of an ISULFIX anchor when the insulation is soft.
An ISULFIX head is 60 mm across, which bears properly on a rigid board. On soft insulation that same head can sink into the surface instead of sitting on it, and once it sinks it stops holding the board flat. The 90 mm face spreads the bearing over a wider area so the anchor stays on the surface where it is doing its job.
This is not a fixing on its own
It has no length, no hole size and no nail. It fastens nothing by itself. You order it alongside ISULFIX anchors, one washer per anchor, not instead of them. If you have landed here looking for the fixing itself, you want the ISULFIX anchor.
Before you fix
- It does nothing on its own. It needs an ISULFIX anchor, bought separately
- One washer per anchor. Count them against your anchor quantity, not your board area
- It is for soft insulation. On rigid board the 60 mm anchor head bears fine without it
- It spreads bearing. It adds no capacity and carries no building load
