Open-joint cladding and rainscreens leave the membrane on show. Daylight, wind-driven rain and heat all reach it through the gaps, and a standard wall membrane will not survive there. TRASPIR EVO UV 115 is built for that build-up: a highly UV-stable non-woven polypropylene top layer over a monolithic PU coated breathable film.
It keeps water and wind out of the structure while letting the wall dry outwards, and it holds its performance on facades that swing between hot and cold, including metal cladding. Behind open joints it is rated as permanently UV stable, so the gaps in the cladding are not a problem for the layer behind them.

Before you fix
- The permanent UV rating applies inside the tested condition only: joints no wider than 30 mm, and no more than 20% of the surface uncovered. Anything wider or more open than that has not been tested.
- This is not a final waterproof layer for a roof.
- The membrane passes 5000 hours of UV ageing, which the datasheet puts at more than 12 months. As a precaution the manufacturer still limits exposure to weathering during the construction phase to a maximum of 10 weeks, so plan for the cladding to follow rather than leaving the wall open through a season.

UV resistance without final coating
5000 h, more than 12 months (EN 13859-1/2). This is the fully uncovered case, with no cladding over the membrane. The sheet limits exposure to weathering during construction to a maximum of 10 weeks as a precautionary measure; under DTU 31.2 P1-2 (France) 5000 h of UV ageing equates to a maximum exposure of 6 months during the construction phase.
